| 2005 Metamorphosis Dance Academy. Inspiring the dancer in everyone with a professional faculty. Your home for dance instruction, including ballet, jazz, modern, and tap for Round Rock, Austin, Pflugerville, Georgetown and surrounding areas. |
| Who is eligible?: Anyone with time, creativity, and interest in learning about choreography. Must be at least 11 years of age - 19 years of age. |
| How to sign up?: Complete a registration form and email or mail to Metamorphosis Dance Academy, 900 Round Rock Ave. #220, Round Rock, TX 78681 or Melanie@metamorphosisdance.net |
| How does this work?: Simple... between now and April 29 assemble a cast of your peers and work on completing your choreography during your studio's open hours (consult your studio director to reserve times). Then attend a 2 day workshop on April 29-30 at Metamorphosis Dance Academy taught by dancers from Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble. These classes will be designed to help you improve your work and get feedback. You will also work with students from other studios to create new works for the demonstration. |
| What is the time commitment?: Before April 29, it is completely up to the choreographer. |
| April 29 11-4pm April 30 1-4pm April 30 4:00pm - Studio Performance for all participants who wish to share their work. |
| Do I have to bring choreography?: No, there will be activities that will involve creating new choreography to be performed or you can be a non-performing participant who just helps choreograph. Those bringing works will have time on Sunday to revise anything in their choreography based on feedback or new ideas. |
| Does my work have to be complete?: No, you can bring unfinished works. Costumes aren't necessary either. |
| Does it cost anything?: Yes, a $10 donation to Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble to help compensate the instructors. (MDE is a non-profit organization so keep a copy of this form for tax deduction purposes.) |
| Will there be a record of this performance?: Anyone is welcome to bring their video cameras, but a professional video will not be taken. |
| What is the deadline for signing up?: March 1, 2006. Donations will be collected the day of the workshop, April 29. |
