Selena Smith began teaching 11 years ago with Marching Auxiliaries Dance based out of
Dallas. Before moving back to the area, she taught for the Adagio School of Performing Arts in
Ottawa, Illinois. She received her B.S. in Dance from Texas State University while dancing with
Roustabouts Dance Company. She has a great passion for dance and feels that movement
allows us to express ourselves when words fail. In her classroom, she likes to maintain a fun and
positive atmosphere while teaching proper technique, body awareness, and performance
skills. She also encourages creativity through the use of music and choreography, and loves
the opportunity to share her passion with her students.
