| Sofie Bertolini |
Sofie Bertolini began dancing at the age of 4 at the
Austin Dance Academy. She then trained at Ballet
Austin for seven years before joining the
pre-professional division at age 14, and later
became a trainee for the 09/10 season.
She attended summer programs there, as well as,
Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Boston Ballet. Sofie has
had the privilege of training with Arletta Howard
Logan, Steven Mills, Michelle Martin, Jerry
Schwender, and Toni Bravo, to name a few. At the
age of 5, Sofie was given her first small role with the
Youth Ballet Theatre under the direction of Arletta
Howard Logan. She eventually moved into Arletta's
adult company, Austin Dance Ensemble, who later
merged with Metamorphosis to become Austin
Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble. Some of her
favorite roles include "Mabel" in Pirates of Penzance,
and "Light" in Sanguine.
