| Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble II is a pre-apprentice, youth company for students age 9 and higher. AMDE II dancers will have additional performance opportunity including their own concert, which will be held annually. They will have the opportunity to work with a variety of choreographers. Students must currently be enrolled in two ballet classes, jazz, and modern or tap. They must be able to commit to five additional hours of rehearsal to be held primarily on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. This is not a competition company. This season with the slated merger, AMDE II will perform along side the adult, professional company in November and June. Other performance opportunities for AMDE II dancers will be T.A.T.D. (Texas Association of Teachers of Dance) Annual Convention, Young Choreographers’ Forum, and the anticipated Annual Youth Dance Festival.
